Sun exposure can cause dry, dull skin in the summer

The heat in Indonesia has been feeling more intense lately. But that doesn't mean our activities need to stop. Outdoor activities are still being held, vacations are still being planned, and it’s our skin that bears the cost.

From the heat of the sun, indoor air conditioning all day long, rising temperatures, to excessive sweating. All of these can trigger skin problems without us even realizing it.

However, in reality there are three things that are most silently affected: Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen, and Elastin. These are the three key proteins that keep your skin hydrated, firm, and healthy. Without realizing it, our daily routines can gradually damage these proteins.

What’s Actually Happening to your Skin?

Ever wonder why your skin still feels dry, looks dull, or starts to sag. Even when you feel like you're doing everything right? The answer comes down to three key proteins:

Hyaluronic Acid — The Key to Ideal Hydration

The key to keeping your skin optimally hydrated is to maintain its natural moisture. However, this moisture can rapidly decrease when you spend a lot of time outdoors without sunscreen, work all day in an air-conditioned room, or are exposed to pollution. Things that almost everyone experiences every day.

Collagen — The Skin’s Structural Framework

Your skin’s structural framework is responsible for its firmness and strength. It can be weakened by chronic stress, inflammation, aging, nutritional deficiencies, and even extreme diets. After the age of 25, collagen levels decrease by 1% each year. Therefore, maintaining healthy collagen levels from an early age is a wise investment.

Elastin — The Source of Skin Elasticity

As the primary protein in the skin responsible for providing elasticity, elastin allows the skin to stretch and return to its original shape. Just like when you laugh or smile. Its production continues to decrease with age, exposure to pollution, and habits we often take for granted, leading to sagging skin and the appearance of wrinkles.

Sunscreen and Moisturizer Are Not Enough to Treat Dry Skin

Healthy, moisturized, and hydrated skin

Keeping your skin hydrated during the summer is all about comfort. Your skin needs to be able to breathe and adapt to the heat, pollution, and nonstop activity. External hydration is an important first step. Drink enough water, limit excessive exfoliation, and use sunscreen and moisturizer daily. But to ensure your skin’s three main proteins are truly protected, a more comprehensive approach is needed.

SAÉ Clinique introduces ThréeVive Moist, a variant of the signature ThréeVive treatment specifically designed for dry and dehydrated skin. It provides hydration not just on the surface, but nutrients that help maintain optimal moisture from within.

As a ThréeVive variant designed to address hydration concerns, ThréeVive Moist is formulated with Polynucleotide, a regenerative ingredient extracted from salmon DNA that works at the cellular level to naturally improve hydration, elasticity, and collagen production.

It’s Time to Get Your Skin Ready for Summer
